Robert "Bongo Bob" passed away suddenly Friday morning July 7, 2017 at his home in Eugene.
It was Robert's wishes to have all his friends come together for a "Celebration of Life" with live music jams, drinks, food, dancing, and sharing stories.
We all agree Robert needs a special party in his honor so we're looking a renting a venue where we can eat, drink, jam and share our favorite Bongo Bob stories.
This "go-fund-me" page is to collect donations for renting a venue (rental fee + deposits) that provides a stage and place for dancing, eating and drinking. The money would also go towards any PA system and other equipment we may need to rent for the celebration as well food, drink and tributes we are putting together. Any additional funds received would go towards Robert's cremation and obituary notice.
This is the only way we have of saying good-bye to Robert given his untimely departure. The celebration would be in September, date TBA depending on the venue we can secure. I bring Robert home today and I know he would want his friends to say good-bye to him even though he wasn't able to say good-bye to them.
Robert's "Celebration of Life" will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 starting at 3 P.M. at the "VETERANS COLONIAL INN ROOM" at Mac's Restaurant and Nightclub located in the Vet's Club.
