Roaring River Basic School, Jamaica

I have been trying to raise some money to help get electricity turned on at the small basic school in the mountains of Jamaica .We succeeded in getting the old wood structure razed and a new concrete block school built but the power cant be turned on until we get two lightning rods installed on poles.The students have had no power for 9 years now. This will enable us to get the lights and fans so badly needed. The poles are $300.00 each plus the cost of fans and lighting plus installation. I have been working with this school since 1990 and the students number approx.  28 students between 3 to 5 years old. The water line that was intended for the school has been tapped into so many times that not a trickle will supply the one toilet that works. We fill a holding tank twice a year at $60 each time as a result.
