Meet Zoey..... I work at the US Embassy in Kabul Afghanistan and Zoey here, she wants to take up a permanent residence in the US. In order to do so, she has to have the proper shots, get a microchip, get a health certificate, a passport, transportation to the Kabul airport and....oh yeah, the flight to the US. I am attempting to raise $2500 to pay for the trip which includes everything I just mentioned. I am returning to the US on October 3rd and looking for her to be flown from Kabul to a home around Oct 6th-8th. It doesn't leave much time for a proper fundraising, but going to give it a shot. Winters here in Kabul are fairly brutal on the animals. As of now, the weather is beautiful and she spends the night inside my room and during the day on her favorite chair just outside my room. If she stays behind after I leave, they're are some friends here at the Embassy that will make sure she is well taken care of while I head home. Once the $2500 is raised, she is packing up her bed and toys, boarding a plane and coming to the US. She is a great cat and very affectionate to say the least. Anyone who is seriously interested in adopting Zoey, please let me know as she will make a great addition to any family. All proceeds will be given to Nowzad, a local Organization responsible for the safe and expediate delivery of Zoey and many more like her.....
