The Family Business film is a comedy/horror from the weird warped mind of SyFy's Face Off and Foxy and Co's Rj Haddy. It's all about a recently orphaned teenager thats forced to live with his three maleveloent Uncles in their dilapated Funeral Home. Once there he realizes there's something just not right about the going's on in the funeral business they are running. Will he find out what it is before its too late?
The Family Business boasts a film with MINIMAL usage of CGI effects work. We are committed to making a film with OLD SCHOOL practical and visual effects! Rj is, after all, a practical creature F/X artist and has an unflinching love for the cult movies of the 80's and 90's that made maximum use of these techniques. (not to mention its a heck of a lot cheaper!) Rj knows thats what today's audiences want to see!
Our little film is still seeking support! We weren't successful at reaching our large goal on that "other" crowd funding site. With all the Hollywood big-wigs over there eating up the donations how could the little guys get support? So were trying Go FUND ME now ... AND setting a lower goal this time, which will allow us to make the film in increments. Do what we can with what we earn here and other alternative sources, produce it in parts or "episodic" format, and then run another small crowd funding drive to move on with the plot. This allows us to bring you the highest quality film all the way around while allowing you, the contributor, to see what we've been working on (and allows you several chances to get some primo collectors goodies). If you would like to donate, by all means, Please pitch in! If you donated last time, your rewards are still coming to you as are a whole host of new ones for this site. As of right now we are working on producing a 2 min trailer for the film, and we have a feeling you are going to be very happy with the end results!
