Riding for Zane's Oxygen Chamber

A number of months ago I saw a news story on Seattle's Fox Q13 about a young boy who had sustained brain damage due to a near-drowning accident. Zane was only twenty-one months old when the accident occurred.
Family and friends were riding stationary bikes and getting people to sponsor them to raise money so that Zane could receive oxygen therapy from a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. The hyperbaric chamber is an oxygen chamber that helps the patient breathe in pure oxygen at a high pressure helping blood flow to the problem areas causing healing and reversed damage.
Money was raised, awareness went out, and Zane received his initial treatments. "Since we saw improvements in Zane his first round of treatments then it’s highly likely he will improve more and more each group of sessions."
Today a new goal is at hand: to raise money to purchase an Oxygen Chamber for Zane, so that he can continue to receive these vital treatments at his home.
I am a brain injured survivor and sustained my injuries when I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. When I saw Zane's story, I was compelled to help Zane in some way. I contacted Tiffany, Zane's mom, if I could begin this account to help him.
Today, ten years following sustaining my injuries, I ride for a significant reason: to raise resources and awareness for brain injured survivors. This year I am riding for Team Zane. I will be participating in two bicycling events to help Zane on his road of brain injury recovery. I will ask my family and friends to support Zane and his recovery.
