'Rick Roll' Run for Recovery

My name is Molly, and I work with Rick in the Baseball Department at DSG. Our friend was in a car accident that resulted in some serious injuries. He was hit head on by a driver going the opposite direction on 376 at an excessive speed. The good news is he has a great attitude. The even better news is he is on the fast track to recovery and completely crushing the process! Although all of his injuries will take time and will be a lot of work on his part, we all know the permanent damage medical expenses can have on people and their loved ones.
What I am asking on behalf of his DSG friends and family is for your support to ease some of that burden. Now instead of your classic GoFundMe page we decided to “Rick Roll” this fundraising effort all the way to the DSG Half Marathon. A small team of Rick’s friends here at DSG are dedicating our runs to Rick and we would like you all to help us raise as much as we can for his Race to Recovery (if any of you do not know what the Rick Roll is, please youtube it, it’ll be worth your while). Now I know I said, the half marathon, NO you do not need to run or come to the race – but any amount of support is much appreciated. Ways to pledge for Rick and his family would be to donate any amount you'd like towards his race to recovery. (Ex: the race is 13 miles, so if you'd like to donate $1 per mile, that'd be great!) Any amount you donate will be a flat donation, does NOT need to be a per mile donation. This race takes place on Sunday, May 6th and we would like to present Rick and his family with your generous donations the following week. I know this is a short time frame but we want him healthy ASAP! If you are running and would like to join the team and pledge your race to Rick, please contact me. Final note, whether you are running, coming to race day for the festivities downtown or just want to show support, we will have shirts made to rock for Rick on race day, please contact me with your size if you’d like one (pricing to come soon)!
