It is with great sadness that we inform you that Rick Wathen passed away peacefully on Thursday evening. He was at home surrounded by his beautiful family.
As many of you know, Rick has been living with cancer the better part of the past 7 years. It is important to know that the cancer did not win, Rick would not let it! Rick won by how he lived his life while facing unthinkable adversity everyday. His strength, attitude, toughness and loving spirit should serve as an inspiration to us all.
While his family is not surprised by his passing, there's no denying the grief has begun. Rick was a loving husband to his beautiful wife Joanne and devoted father to Casey, Jessica, John and Melissa. We are setting up this GoFundMe to help with some of the financial expenses.
Thank you for all your love, support, prayers and thoughts you have shown the family throughout the years.
