This organization is being formed in memory of Ria Patel, a young woman who lost her life in a car accident after getting into a vehicle with someone under the influence of alcohol. This organization's activities are strongly tied to its purpose of educating and inspiring children, teenagers, and young adults to be positive role models, and to speak out and stand up agains dangerous or destructive behaviors.

Because of the organization is being formed in memory of Ria Patel, the organization will plan a number of activities that educate children, teenagers, and young adults about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. Although the organization will work on many topics related to youth empowerment and leadership, this will be one of the organization's ongoing focuses.

The organization has plans to hold various educational and community building events. The planned events will all share a common goal of bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, fostering trustworthy friendships, and having open and honest dialogue about problems surrounding destructive behaviors and what young people can do to help prevent these behaviors.

The organization will also provide youth with strategies and tools to combat destructive behaviors they see among their friends, classmates, and family members.

The organization's leaders have envisioned an annual youth leadership event that will help inspire youth to be leaders in their communities and stand up against destructive and harmful behaviors they see among their peers. The organization desires to plan a full day event that would begin with young people pairing up with local community organizations like the Ronald McDonald House and Meals on Wheels for various volunteer opportunities. Following a morning of volunteering, the youth would end the day by getting together in a safe, inspiring  venue to have conversations about how to be leaders in their communities and how to prevent other youth from becoming involved in dangerous activities. The youth leadership event will be held at a local community center or high school. The youth leadership day is directly tied to the organization's purpose of educating and inspiring children, teenagers, and young adults to stand up against dangerous or destructive activities, as the main focus of the event is to provide youth with a venue and the tools to be leaders among their peers. Leadership events such as this one will occur once or twice a year, and 15% of the  organization's time will be allocated to this activity. The activity will be funded with donations from the general public.

Another planned activity is a variety show/performance centered around the theme of youth empowerment. These variety shows would occur on a quarterly basis and each event would focus on a specific topic like bullying or use of drugs and alcohol. Each performance would include an introduction of the specific theme, and through skits and dances, would teach youth how to combat these problems when they encounter them. It is likely that the location for these performances would change quarterly, but the organization plans to hold the events in small public theaters or at public high schools. These performances would be directly tied to the organization's exempt purpose, as they would help educate youth on various kinds of destructive behavior and help to inspire and empower them to speak out against these behaviors.

Due to the regularity of these events, it is likely that planning and facilitating the events would make up about  20% of the organization's time.   The activity would be funded by existing and ongoing donations from the general community.

The corporation also plans to participate in and organize various public speaking events and seminars. The public speaking events would likely be held at various high schools or community centers and would focus on the issues of drunk driving and generally destructive behaviors.

Some of the topics that would be discussed would be signs to look for in friends or loved ones that signal participation in destructive behaviors, who to contact for help, and how to safely intervene when a friend of family member is in a potentially dangerous situation. These public speaking events would be strategically organized to occur around the time that homecoming,
prom, graduation, or other significant high school events occur due to the increased likelihood that teens and young adults will participate in destructive behaviors around these times of the school year.

This activity is directly tied to the mission of the organization because the public speaking engagements will help introduce youth the strategies for combatting destructive behavior and will give youth the tools for helping friends and classmates if need be. These public speaking engagements will make up about 15% or 20% of the organization's time. These speaking engagements will be funded by existing and ongoing donations from the general community.

Because the organization focuses on education, the corporation will also work to prepare and distribute educational materials. These materials will be used to share National and Minnesota specific statistics and facts about destructive behaviors among youth. The materials will also compile resources for youth who are participating in destructive behaviors and seeking help and for those youth who are witnesses to the poor decisions of those around them. The creation and
distribution of materials is directly tied to the organization's purpose of education, as it will be youth access to information that may help to save a friend from a dangerous situation. Althoughthe creation of these materials may take up a significant amount of the organization's time at first, once the materials are created, it is unlikely that updates to the materials will take a lot of time. Likely, the creation and updating of materials will take 5% of the organization's time. The
organization will use funds from the general public to fund the creation and distribution of materials
