Vianden International Music Festival

Hello! We are Ria and Annissa and we are best friends and viola players! We have been invited to be viola Guest Artists this summer at the Vianden Music Festival in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (http://viandenfestival.eu/)! As guest artists, we will coach chamber music ensembles at the festival and perform solo and chamber music works with the Vianden faculty--esteemed performers from around the world.

A professional and artistic opportunity like this one does not come along every day! We are both graduate students studying viola, and Vianden will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity for us to teach and coach student ensembles, and for us to have an amazing educational experience learning from internationally-renowned professors and performers. 

Our room and board in Luxembourg are covered...but we need help getting to Europe!! Roundtrip tickets and travel costs are $3000 for us together. The nature of being a graduate student includes a complete lack of expendable income, but we couldn't stand the idea of turning down this incredible opportunity just because of the cost of plane tickets. It is our hope that with the help of our friends and family we will be able to defray the high cost of travel.
