Restore Historic Macon House Of God

Donation protected
You can help save the Lord’s historical church in Macon, Georgia, with your tax-deductible donations. Founded by Mother Mary Magdalena Lewis Tate, the church in the Macon area has been a pillar in Bibb County. The Macon House of God church’s rich history includes laboring leadership under the late Bishop Lonnie Bennett, Bishop P. J. Fletcher and Bishop W. Baldwin. Bishop C. E. Campbell preceded the current Bishop Martha J. Thomas as presiding diocese bishop.

Once renovated, this church in historic Macon, Georgia will be devoted for sacred weekly services in Macon and for annual and district services used by people who travel to Macon from various cities in Georgia and other places. It will be referred to as the GEORGIA #1 DIOCESE COMPLEX and used for local city services, councils, state assemblies and other appointed fellowships of the saints of God. We are truly a community based church, opening our doors to those in need in time of christenings, weddings as well as funeral services. Help us bring back the splendor desired for God’s house!

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; And I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord. Haggai 1:8

Mother M. L. Tate’s children world-wide, members, family, friends, supporters, and to all God-given members of the family of God, the House of God Church Macon, Georgia, urgently needs your help to raise a minimum of $300,000.00 to renovate, repair, restore, and reclaim usage of this attractive, brick church. It is pleasantly landscaped on beautiful grounds of a corner lot with over an acre of land and facing Houston Street. On the grounds and adjacent to the church is an annex housing classrooms and a large dining room. Please share this urgent message with businesses, family and friends, and let them tell their friends, and their friends’ friends - another generation on all social media outlets. The church is in need of major repairs:

>  Along the north side of the building, the foundation breach has allowed water and moisture migration for a number of years

>  Because of ongoing water intrusion, the walls, flooring, and ceiling must be removed in the basement

>  The basement is in need of paneling, wood, drywall, plaster, painted bricks, tile floors, cement floor, vinyl, etc.

>  We have a detailed summary of work needed by —Accent Inspection Services

For us to lose the church in Macon would be a very “drastic setback” to all the people of God in this and in other dioceses. Let us pray and pledge to complete renovation within the next few months, if not earlier. Let us keep hope alive! Pitch in and donate to renovate! Then, come to visit when we celebrate!

With your tax-deductible donation, become a part of the Wall of Sacrifice. Your name/company and amount paid will be placed on a wall of distinction on the sanctuary grounds or in the main sanctuary as a memorial to your legacy, or you may choose to remain anonymous.
