Respirator Masks for NYC Healthcare Workers

In this moment of the COVID-19 crisis, we can help. We all know someone who has been impacted by this devastating virus and we all know someone who is on the frontline. We cannot stand on the sidelines.
We have converted our factory and team of exceptional craftspeople to produce hospital grade respirator masks for our healthcare workers. We will also be leading a network of NYC leathergoods and apparel factories to produce hundreds of thousands of masks each month, with 1 Atelier coordinating the raw material procurement and production across these factories.
We are partnering directly with one of the largest hospital systems in NYC (and several waiting behind them) to develop and manufacture an N95-type respirator mask to their specification, that they start testing this week. Once approved, our initial target is 20,000 masks per week.
The hospital(s) will be paying for the masks at cost (materials and labor). However, we need to raise funds to support the bare-bones overhead of this operation including rent, ongoing raw materials research and procurement, recruitment and management of our manufacturing partners, and cleaning/sterilization expenses for the factories.
Please join us in this fight against an invisible but deadly enemy. We are targeting $100,000 to start which ensures a couple months of runway to produce masks until funds from the CARES Act are received. With the onset of COVID-19, our custom orders and traditional revenue streams have largely evaporated and our fund-raising efforts have been paused.
