The drum is a powerful instrument. Hypnotizing one moment and unifying the next, it has the ability to cross cultures and  bring people together with its rhythm...

A lot of people can benefit from drumming, but by and large, access is simply not available...especially for older adults. 

Hello, my name is Steve Benedetto. In 2015, I started Respectful Beats™ , performing over 500 drumming classes for seniors within the Boston, Massachusetts area.  

...and there have been some miraculous stories to share as a result.

From seniors stopping their medication, to others making beautiful music - the results are real.

One 95 y/o resident summed up a drumming class in one word, "Empowering!!"

I want to expand Respectful Beats™ and get my program out to more communities.  My goal of raising $7,500 will    cover the cost of purchasing quality drums and allow for the necessary marketing of Respectful Beats™ required in order to grow.
