Dear friends, I have created this profile to solicit your assistance. For the past 3 years I have been in need of a certain procedure to treat/correct an injury in my knee. The procedure itself is called PRP; It consists of harvesting protein rich plasma from my own blood then, with the use of ultrasound technology, the PRP is injected into the affected area to stimulate new cell growth in my torn patella tendon (≈50% torn). The technology is relatively new, and is NOT covered by my insurance. Unlike surgery, this is a much less invasive procedure with a shorter healing period, and it has yielded great success and healing among many patients who have chosen to undergo it. I am not the type to ask for help, but as a struggling college student there is no way that I can finance this myself. So anything that you can give will surely help bring me closer to my goal. This procedure is WAY overdue, and is necessary in order for me to fully return to the person and performer that I used to be! If you're unable to donate, don't sweat it!
