WHO ARE WE?
Reopen Maryland LLC is a group of individuals gravely concerned about the impact of mass shutdowns and school closures in response to COVID-19 and committed to common sense solutions to reopen the state. We are committed to common-sense solutions to keep Marylanders safe and healthy without destroying our economy or social fabric. Marylanders are not truly safe without a vibrant and strong economy, healthy social and family interaction. We advocate immediate, responsible reopening of our state's business, educational and religious institutions.
WHAT IS OUR CAUSE?
On May 2, 2020, Reopen Maryland LLC joined 17 other plaintiffs in suing Governor Larry Hogan and other state officials over COVID-based denial of the individual freedoms and personal liberties. We are all threatened by government overreach and creeping violations of the U.S. and Maryland Constitutions that are detailed in the federal complaint. This suit aims to reaffirm our fundamental rights and provide a check against future abuses and breaches in Maryland and other states.
