A little about us:
Founded in 2012, Henpecked Hollow Farm is a 36-acre family farm nestled in the foothills of Mosheim, Tennessee. We're seeking a better way of living, with a commitment to earth-friendly sustainability and responsibility.
Finding a deep love for the creativity of canning, all our jams, jellies, pickles, chutneys, conserves, marinades, sauces, pie fillings and more are all GMO-free and locally-procured.
Also this year we are excited to start some new projects around the farm, including maple syrup and goat milk soaps! We look forward to sharing them with you soon!
There are so many projects to do on a farm, but the first big project we'd like to tackle is to enclose and add a roll-up door and indoor lights to a large metal building we have on the property. Currently we're using the building as an external garage to store our farm equipment.
By enclosing the garage and adding lights and additional outlets inside, we're hoping to better utilize the workspace which would allow us to operate more efficiently and protect the contents from the elements and theft. Some ways we'd like to utilize the space after it's enclosed are:
"¢ Building a loft to take advantage of vertical space to store lumber and woodworking equipment
"¢ Building a gardening area with bench for seedlings and potting vegetables
"¢ Converting a portion of the space into a licensed domestic kitchen
"¢ Storing farm equipment/keeping it out of the elements
"¢ Keeping the chickens off the tractor!
We love getting hands-on but since the building is so tall we'll need to contract out the work to a construction crew and purchase the doors.
That's where you come in - we gracefully appreciate your support!
Josh and Heather.
