Medical Bills, Wedding Fund

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana where I was lucky to have the most wonderful, kind and functional host family made up of my mother Lenah ( just 2 years my senior but we played if to the hilt),Uncle, my brother Phemelo who never got a word in with four sisters, his girlfriend, niece and daughter in the house, and four lovely sisters, Lebo, Sophie, Stevi and Khumo. Add to that my nieces Lucia and Alisha and nephew Tao and it was the best introduction into a new country a peace corps volunteer could hope for. They accepted me, helped me, loved me, and never, ever asked me for anything. During my year there Lebo had a son. When I visited last December I could tell Sophia was in love and sure enough it turned out she would have a baby due in August. The boy was born healthy on August 5 but Sophie had complications: an artery or vein burst in her neck that went to her brain. Family was hopeful but nothing could be done and she died on the 17th, never re regaining consciousness to see her son.I am traveling to Botswana Wednesday to be with my family, at significant expense to myself. I would love to find people who want to help provide assistance to this honest hardworking family so they can care for this boy, Ofile, so he can have the things his mom would have provided for him. Please, if you can help, even just a little, you would see an authentic, grateful response from a devastated family. I will send photos of the family and especially Ofile to any donors of $25 or more.
You dollars make a huge difference in developing countries, the cost of a nice dinner out her could feed this family for a week. They all have jobs and work hard, they just don't get paid enough and now Sophie's income is gone.
