Jeffrey Ashford Funeral Service

Jeff Ashford was a Marine Corp Veteran from Michigan. He met his wife Lillian; also a Marine Corp Vet, and they started a family in Oceanside, CA. All those who knew Jeff  knew  what a fun-loving, social and charismatic individual he was. Jeff  was also incredibly talented and innovative. He ran his own Masonry business for many years where he created one of a kind fireplaces, custom stonework, block and brick structures and entire buildings. Jeff was also known for his incredible artistic ability. In his retirement, he spent his free time painting beautiful masterpieces.  I knew Jeff Ashford as Dad. A dad who taught me not to take myself so seriously, how to show love, how to find a solution to any prioblem and how to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. My father is leaving behind my mother, Lillian Ashford, my  brother Jeffrey, an Army war veteran, who will always know my father as his HERO; whom he loved more than the world and myself and my husband Jason Michalowski, his son-in-law. My father also is survived by his enormous family in Michigan (who he would have given anything to see one last time) to include my grandmother Alene, his brother Howard, his sisters Yvonne, Karen, Cheryl, Gina and Julie, as well as many great-aunts & uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and great newphews and nieces. Jeff made this world a better place by making everyone he came into contact with smile and laugh. We are still in shock that he went to be with God so early in life. Yet we are so thankful for all of the memories that we now hold on to.
Many of our family and friends have asked what they can do in this time of need.   We are grateful for all of the support and love we have received thus far.  For anyone who desires or is able to help our family we are seeking  donations to help cover the costs of funeral expenses to help celebrate his beautiful life and give him the send of he deserves.
