Reilly Family Medical Bills

Danielle and Andrew are pregnant with their second son, William Reilly. At a routine ultrasound, they were told William has a birth defect called spina bifida (SB). His type is sacral myelomeningocele. In really basic terms it means the back of his spine did not close properly. His nerves are exposed and this can cause him a lot of problems. The good news is that the neurosurgeons are optimistic for his case!  More than likely, what will happen is that the neurosurgeons will be on hand when he is born. They will take him to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, assess him, and perform surgery to repair his spine and other complications within his first 24 hours.

This family has already been through so much.  Their first son Lucas was born sleeping on September 23, 2013 and is watching over them from heaven.  They love to talk about Lucas and want the world to know that he lived, however brief his time was on Earth. 

Obviously medical bills have been stacking up while they visit specialist after specialist, at hospitals across the country.  They are even meeting with doctors in Philadelphia to see how they can help!  We need to help this family get back on their feet while they prepare for a special needs child.  If you can't spare anything financially, please pass along their story so we reach as many generous souls as possible.
