Record An Album

Dear Friends,

You know those moments when God breaks in on your plans and turns you in a totally different direction? Well, that is exactly the place I find myself in as I write to you today.

A couple of months ago, I shared with you an amazing opportunity I had been given to record an album. My plan was to head to Nashville to work with a talented group of musicians and producers, and I invited you to partner with me financially in that endeavor. However, following the Lord's leading, I have decided to pursue another path. I am excited to share that I will be collaborating with Larry Gann and Matt Russo of Awestruck Studios to record an original single for release on iTunes.


Recording at Awestruck Studios will allow me to stay local throughout the entire project. Eliminating travel costs and various other fees lowers my recording cost from $6,500 to $1,500!

As of today, I have raised $600. That means I still need $900 to reach my goal. So many of you have already given, and for that I am so grateful. Thank you for sowing into my dream! If you haven't had a chance to give, please prayerfully consider it. I am scheduled to begin recording as early as Wednesday, August 28. Your donation will go toward the many costs involved in making that happen.

So what happens after I record the single? It becomes available to you! Next month I will launch a new Kickstarter campaign that will allow the recorded song to be downloaded for a $10 minimum donation. You also get a free t-shirt with your download. If you have already donated, you can get the song and the shirt without an additional donation.

Hi, my name is Cassandra, and really, I'm a nobody. I'm a no name. My face isn't readily recognized, and I don't have a lot of connections. You won't see me on TV or hear me on the radio. I don't have a platform or a stage or a following of fans.

I'm not a celebrity, you see. I'm just a girl who loves Jesus and wants to sing the song He's given me.

Since I was a young girl, I've had lots of dreams. Many of them have come true. I'm married to an amazing man and mom to two miracle baby girls. I go to a wonderful church and am surrounded by the people I love most. But there's one dream still unrealized, and it won't let go of my heart.

I want to record an album.

I was born into a musical family, and have been singing for as long as I can remember. I love standing in the place of worship. I'm not seeking fame or fortune. I don't want to make a name for myself. The song of the Lord is written across my heart, and following His leading, I want to give voice to it.

Recently, the Lord has brought me an awesome opportunity to record my first album with Lester Estelle Jr. at, Off The Wall Studio, in Nashville, Tenn. I met Lester more than 10 years ago, and he is the best of the best at what he does. Most people know him as the former drummer for Christian band Pillar. I am so excited to have Lester not only play drums but also produce my album.

Here's where you come in. Recording an album is very costly. I need to raise $1500 to pay for studio time, tracks, producers, musicians, and other fees. Yes, $1500 is a lot of money, but it's far from impossible. And because this dream is burning in my heart, I have decided to be bold and just ask for what I need.
