A proud musician and Chair of Edmonton’s Poetry Collective, Reakash is a strong proponent for arts and culture and acknowledges its critical role in Canadian identity. Reakash has used her skills in professional communications to support grassroots organizations like Public Interest Alberta, Cariwest Festival, 5 Artists 1 Love and many more.
Engaged in politics her entire adult life, Reakash is no stranger to the challenges faced by many Canadians. She worked as a caseworker in the constituency office of Premier Rachel Notley, and is devoted to helping Edmontonians overcome their daily struggles and find fulfillment, success, and happiness.
Growing up in a loving multicultural family with siblings from the aboriginal community, Reakash’s connections with First Nations communities have created in her a commitment to just relations with Canada’s Indigenous people.
As a proud Canadian, an informed Albertan, and a dedicated Edmontonian, Reakash will build a Canada that is internationally recognized as an inclusive, just, and sustainable nation.
