Reagan Martin Medical Expenses

Angela and Aaron Martin were so excited to be having their first child - a baby girl named Reagan. After a difficult high-risk pregnancy,  Reagan was born at 37 weeks, 6 lb, 12 oz and seemingly healthy. On the morning they were to go home the pediatrician detected something that just didn't seem right.

After further testing, Reagan was diagnosed with a Coarctation of the Aorta. She would need surgery before going home and Angela and Aaron's world crumbled. Reagan was moved to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for close monitoring and life sustaining medication pending surgery. For 13 days Angela and Aaron held their precious daughter around the tubes, monitors and IV lines supporting their little girl's life.

Finally on Angela's birthday, Reagan was taken to the operating room. Thankfully prayers were answered and she sailed through the surgery. Now she is in the Pediatric ICU trying to recover to go home. During this time Angela's recovery from C Section has been complicated as well and she has required additional treatment as well. 

Angela and Aaron live 1.5 hours from the hospital. They have been staying near Reagan, trying to spend as much time with her as possible.  This young couple has some insurance, but it will not cover all the costs of Reagan's and Angela's medical expenses. Once discharged, Reagan will continue to require the care of the special pediatric services at the hospital where she is now.
