Disaster Relief for Ron's Family

Dear Friends and extended love-ones,
I am writing to ask for your support in donations to my family in the Caribbean.
On Tuesday, September 19th, my home country Dominica was caught in the path of Hurricane Maria from 8pm to 4am in the morning. Dominica, like Puerto Rico, has been devastated as it experienced winds at 185 MPH.
It wasn’t until Saturday, September 23rd that I was able to make contact with my mother. My mother, my younger sisters, brother, and niece survived, but not without completely being clear of danger. They hid in a small room under the house as the hurricane destroyed the roof. The room began to fill with water and the wind tugged on the windows. They are traumatized, but MOST importantly alive.
The only way relief can be brought to the island is through boat as the airports have been destroyed. As of right now they are currently in repair. My family, like many others, is struggling because their source of water, electricity, and food are inaccessible. The immediate need is clean water.
With your donations we will gather water, tarps for roofing, food and some first aid kits then transport the items to my family and friends. I have an auntie that lives in Antigua (Neighbor Island) who will deliver the supplies by boat to Dominica. We will do this until the country is able to provide substantial relief.
My family and I would greatly appreciate any donation to the relief efforts. I also understand that you all have a lot going on. At the very least we would appreciate your prayers as the country rebuilds itself.
