Raquel's Costa Rica Medical Trip

Hi! My name is Raquel Lopez and I am a student at the University of Southern California in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.  As part of the Physical Therapy Multicultural Leadership Alliance I have been selected to travel abroad to San Jose, Costa Rica from May 16-24, 2015 with a group of 11 other DPT students. We will be volunteering physical therapy services to underprivileged communities in an outpatient setting, with patients ranging across the lifespan, from infants to geriatrics with various conditions, from neurological to orthopedic. Unfortunately the cost of travel, housing, meals, etc. are not fully covered by the program, so I am left to try and raise the remaining $2000. 

My goal in life is help heal as many people as possible. I believe we all have a natural ability to heal if we can balance our physical, mental-emotional, and spiritual well-being. I hope to facilitate that for my future patients, and would like to start by offering my services to the people of Costa Rica. I believe I have a lot to offer with my diverse background in physical therapy, massage therapy, energy healing, yoga and other various travel and multi-cultural experiences.

Please help me achieve my goal of reaching as many people in this world that I can by helping me get to Costa Rica! I would greatly appreciate it and my future patients in Costa Rica will appreciate it as well!
