My name is Raquel Newton and I was recently selected to be part of Team Canada Dance through a series of auditions.
This December, along with other dancers, I will be representing Team Canada by competing in the World Dance Championships in Poland.
Unfortunately, dance is not considered a sport, so we do not qualify for any government funding. I am responsible for raising all my own funds to get to the World Dance Championships.
The cost for me to travel to Poland with the team is $4000.00
I will be working very hard over the summer to try to raise these funds on my own.
To represent Canada is an honour and any help you could give would be very much appreciated.
I train 30+ hours a week doing what I love to do ....dance and I would love to represent my Country and share the Love of dance.
