The Raphael Duncan Memorial Fund

My Father, Raphael Duncan passed away on June 20th at 11:10am

He was an incredible man with the most genuine heart.  He was a strong man and a proud man... But most of all he was my Daddy.  

In the past day I have read so many kind words and memories...some made me laugh... some made me cry grateful tears.  

What is most beautiful is that I now realize just how much of an imprint he made on so many people... sometimes with a joke that he couldn't finish because he was already laughing lol... bringing mangos and beef patties to our basketball tournaments... those tow truck lights waiting for me flashing outside of basement parties back in the day ;D ...or the miles he constantly drove just to see me when I was at Coppin in Baltimore... 

My Dad had a long hard fight with a few major medical issues... Kidney Failure being the one that ultimately took him from me... He was as strong in his passing as he was throughout his life.  It was an honour to be there to the end and to see peace in his face.  No more pain.  No more suffering.  He did it his way and I now understand...  
I admire him for so many reasons.  He taught me to walk strong and never stop  until the last breath...

My Father passed away with no will and no insurance, so it is up to me now.  I never anticipated the costs left behind.  

I have created this fund to cover his final medical expenses and funeral.  

His service will be held at:

Highland Funeral Home
3280 Sheppard Ave. E  in Scarborough

Public Visitation: Sunday, June 25 at 12:00pm
Funeral Service: Sunday June 25 at 2:00pm

*Reception will follow the Service.
