Help Randy Restart Her Dream Shop

Hi, my name is Randy. That's me on the right with my good friend Diana standing inside the shop I will soon occupy, in the heart of Oregon City. I am reaching out for assistance and funding to support the opening of Eclectic Appeal, which is a collection of antique and vintage jewelry, along with my other assorted passions.

WHAT I HAVE
Inventory, suppliers, cases, display pieces, wrapping supplies, etc.

WHAT I NEED
Funds to put the physical space together (painting, flooring, lighting, alarm system, licenses, insurance, moving expenses, branding, etc.) and promote/publicize the opening.

My goal is to create an entrepreneurial space, where I can expand my online Etsy business to a brick and mortar shop, while providing a showcase for talented women in my life to display and sell their creations.

In the 1990's I owned and operated an antique jewelry store in Houston for 10 years, before moving to Oregon to be with family. It was quite successful and a place where people could shop in a beautiful, relaxed environment and be pampered. This led to many repeat customers, whom I cherish to this day. My hope is to share this special experience in Oregon City.

I had to put plans to open a new store on hold for several years, and in the interim began selling on Etsy. Although transitioning my business on Etsy was borne of necessity, it has been an incredible experience. Customer reviews have been 100% positive (see reviews below), and many of my customers have made multiple purchases. I've received wonderful comments about how unique and well crafted my merchandise is, and how my love for vintage jewelry really shines through.

MY MERCHANDISE
The words people use most often to describe my rings, bracelets, necklaces, cuffs, brooches and other pieces are "timeless" and "unique". Just like in fashion and design, vintage doesn't always translate to timelessness and I have always selected pieces that evoke a romantic past while integrating seamlessly into a modern woman's style. My inventory ranges from the 1800's through the 1980's, each piece exquisitely crafted into striking designs with classic materials, such as sterling silver, enamel and semiprecious stones, to name a few. There is something for everyone in every style and price range.

THE COMMUNITY
My hope is that with Eclectic Appeal I will be more than a proprietor, but also an active participant in the resurgence of downtown Oregon City. After a period of economic downturn, we're all so happy to see this area come back to life with shopping areas, recreational opportunities, businesses, and a wide variety of historical and cultural attractions. Shops are reopening, restaurants and cafes are full again, and there is a refreshing bustle of foot traffic.
