On February 18, 2014 my father, Randy Hannika left this earth at the early age of 61. He was a wonderful husband, father to six and 17 grandchildren. He was always there for us.
He suffered his first heart attack in 1996, then a Quintuple bypass and since 47 stints. It has been a long and trying road for the family. With no medical insurance for years, The six children have been there all the way helping both to care for dad and provide financial assistance when and where they could.
My parents always believed in "paying it forward" and as small business owners, have helped over the past years to raise thousands of dollars for others in need.
Mom has been the primary care giver for years. Then 14 months ago dad went into hospice and needed fulltime care.
Consequently the family business was recently closed so mom could be at his side around the clock. It has been difficult and costly.
Many expenses were left behind without the provision of Life Insurance or Medical Insurance.
