Ramos Family & Puerto Rico Recovery

By now you've heard of the devastation that has fallen upon our beloved Puerto Rico and the people who live there. The videos and the news clips are painful to watch. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of the hardship that our loved ones will begin to endear.  The last conversation I had with my mother was her being in hysterics and confusion. She had over 3" of water in her home and as she spoke I could hear the splashing and swishing of water under her feet. I can imagine that life in Puerto Rico as she knew it would not be possible.  My mother lives alone, she is a insulin taking diabetic and has a heart condition.  I lose sleep thinking how is she going to make it through this tragedy? I really don't know??? But I know that although I haven't spoken to her since the storm hit, she is going to need some serious help.  My family is beside themselves as many Puerto Rican are.  Many of my friends have asked how my family is doing and how they can help. I've had several friends say that I should start a GoFundme....I've never done anything like this in my life, but I have to put my pride aside and keep the main focus clear....Puerto Rico and specifically my family is going to need all the help they can get.  I've received many messages saying that the fund raising from these big organizations are not getting to the people who need it.  I will assure you that these funds will reach my family! I will use it to get my mother the medical attention she needs, get her to the states as quickly as possible and help her get her house in order for to be able to go back "home" whenever that is possible and safe.  I will keep everyone informed as to how the funds are being used.  I speak for my entire family when I say that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
