University Degree for 50+ student

Hello. My name is Ralph Cohen. I have been coping with a variety of illnesses my entire life. These include mitral-valve prolapse, asthma/COPD, vertigo, and  an allergy to the sun. Despite these health challenges I have tried to keep my head up, and live a normal life. The goal of my campaign is to be able to go back to school.

I was forced to quit university at age 26, because my parents refused to support half-time studies, despite my health issues. I was pressured into accepting menial jobs, and finally settled for being a part-time driver. Since I can no longer do this,  I intend to pursue the completion of my university degree. This is an aspiration that I have always kept close to my heart. Sad to say, my family no longer pays for the therapy that stops the vertigo, and this has resulted in severe dizziness and multiple falls. My family may have given up on me, but I have not given up on myself.  People in my community donate to buildings, but not people. They never give the little guy a chance!

I am asking you to give me that chance to succeed! My health may be frail, but I believe that I can still be a productive member of society. Having a university degree opens up the possibility of me getting a good job, and paying for my own treatments which are vital to my health. Acupuncture has been instrumental in keeping several of my health conditions under control.
