Help for the Nyenhuis Family

This is a story about love. Love shared between husband and wife, the kind that started 30 years ago, that has blossomed and strengthened over time. Love a father has for his children. Love of family over everything else. Love of extended family... called best friends. And for Dave, his love of Life.

The current scenario.
Dave is fighting the battle of his life. He has been very sick and remains in the ICU, where he will continue to be in the near future. The Nyenhuis family is looking at a long road to recovery. Right now the challenge is to get Dave healthy enough to undergo testing so the medical team can determine a course of action.

As you can imagine the past few weeks have been emotionally, physically, and financially draining on Kim. There have been many sleepless nights, and there are so many unanswered questions. 

Dave's life has always been about giving. A friend recently described him as, "one of the good guys!" Without question, he's always there, willing to help a friend, make you smile, or volunteer his time. Over the past few weeks it's become evident just how many lives he has touched. The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern, prayers, and offers for help. 

Dave is a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle and a friend. He loves making people laugh, dancing (have you seen his back-flip?), working in his yard, hanging out with friends, and especially spending time with his family. He looks forward to doing all of these things again.
