Raising funds for Violet - BETA's support for RDA

In a year, which has seen change for us all, RDA UK has remained committed to supporting their community of 25,000 disabled children, young people, and adults and 18,000 volunteers, across the UK.
Violet is a much-loved horse at RDA and provides who provides therapy, fitness, and fun to disabled riders locally.
For many years BETA has supported the valuable work of RDA and your support will help us to continue to provide the vital funds required to support Violet’s care and ensure this crucial work of RDA continues.
RDA’s National Training Centre based in Warwickshire is the hub of all national work at RDA and home to three resident RDA groups and the home of Violet.
RDA horses are catalysts for change. They are at the centre of all RDA’s work and without them, RDA could not deliver the life-changing work that we do.
Violet provides her disabled riders with an incredibly effective way of exercising those muscles which are essential for everyday activities such as standing, sitting up and walking – and through spending time with horses improved physical and mental wellbeing.
Violet has been teaching an RDA rider who had cancer in her hip to canter independently.
Violet has been enabling disabled riders to get used to being around horses again with our ‘Quite Corner’ sessions.
A teenager who was admitted to hospital with anorexia and used to ride Violet regularly was able to come back in October 2020 and ride again.
It is fair to say Violet is a very special horse to a lot of people.
That is why we need your help in raising £3000.
BETA would like to continue to support Violet, which includes regular dental checks, visits from the farrier for re-shoeing, vet checks, suitable tack, and a relevant feeding plan to keep her in excellent working condition.
