Reporting on our trip to Nepal
Namaste!
The Panauti region is a desperately underdeveloped rural area of central Nepal. The village schools offer modest and often times inadequate education to its children.
With your generous support we raised money for school children in Panauti. Your donations, along with a matching grant and volunteers from Rainbow of Magnolia Fountains of Life, provided the basics of a proper education to approximately 200 children.
These basics included:
School Supplies...
Medicine...
Medical Check-Ups...
And, much more...
We believe that with a decent education, the school children of Panauti will have many more opportunities to support themselves, their families and their community. That is why a group of volunteers, along with 11 students (and their Principal!) from Panauti, ran the Kathmandu Marathon on September 20th, 2014. We wanted to raise awareness and money, to support these struggling schools. With your generosity we raised more than $5000! 100% of this went directly to the 200 students in the Panauti schools.
