Rag and Bone Arts is a not-for-profit, social enterprise committed to community arts engagement in Chippenham. We aim to provide affordable, inclusive and flexible art and drama delivery – online during COVID – as well as providing community arts projects, support for local arts practitioners and affordable graphics for local business marketing.
Our current focus is to provide creative online activity to isolated members of the community and young people. Our regular revenue streams have declined, but demand for online provision has increased during the pandemic; if and when we return to ‘normal’ we would like to continue online provision and expand our services to those unable to attend art and drama workshops in person for whatever reason.
To do this we need to upgrade our equipment, which is slow, dated and unable to properly manage advancements in technology. We are looking to raise £2,200 to update our IT equipment. National charity UK Youth have generously allowed us to redirect our recent funding for venue hire towards this instead, and the Arts Society of Kington Langley have kicked off our donations, for which we are immensely grateful.
However, we still need to raise more in order to achieve our goal. If we manage to exceed the £2,200 we will upgrade and future-proof the equipment. All money received will be ringfenced until we reach our target.
