Hong Kong Church Planting Trip

Donation protected
Hello and thanks for taking a moment to read about my next life adventure. I recently committed myself to moving to Hong Kong indefinitely, to seek out a new career and also participate in a church planting mission through my church, Saddleback. I need your help to make this commitment happen.
Before I even knew there was going to be a Saddleback church in Hong Kong, I was already researching a potential move abroad. As soon as I heard about this I signed right up! This opportunity could not have presented itself at an better time in my life.

Saddleback Hong Kong will serve as one of the base camps in Asia. Together with the main campus in Lake Forest, CA and the 11 other global campuses, we will utilize the PEACE plan to help the people of China and other unengaged people groups.
PEACE is a movement to mobilize Christians in churches working together to...
Plant churches that promote reconciliation
Equip servant leaders
Assist the poor
Care for the sick
Educate the next generation

Moving to Hong Kong, although exciting, will not be an easy task. Besides the cultural and language differences, my biggest obstacle will be financial. Hong Kong is one of the most expensive cities to live in, housing being one of the highest in the world. Food and transportation seem to be reasonably affordable.

My initial goal is to obtain a full-time design job to support myself while I volunteer the rest of my time to help establish a new church and participate in outreach projects. I am also looking to get certified to teach english part-time as back up plan.

Here's how you will be helping me with your donations:

Roundtrip airfare ~ Approximately USD$1200 (per ticket)
-Airplane ticket for the initial move tentatively scheduled for July 2013. **PURCHASED**

Housing ~ Approximately USD$1000-1500 (monthly)
-As I mentioned above, this will be my biggest expense. I will be couch-surfing and seeking out possible hosting options when I arrive, but I will eventually need permanent housing (shared or individual).

Mainland China Visa - USD$200 (entry for 1 year)
-US citizens don't need a visa to visit Hong Kong for up to 90 days, however you do need a visa to enter mainland China. **COVERED**

Daily expenses - Food & Transportation - USD $15-$20 (daily)
-I've estimated I can get by with $20/day, maybe less if I find some great local eateries.
-The Hong Kong subway system is very affordable and convenient.

Cell Phone - $40 (monthly) **COVERED**

These are the initial important expenses which total approximately USD$2200-3000. I have given myself some wiggle room in the event I don't find a job within the 1st month, in addition to the Webpay and Paypal fees required to run this fundraiser, bringing my goal to USD$5000.

If you are led to donate, any amount or an on-going sponsorship, either would be greatly appreciated. God is doing amazing things in Asia and I hope you can find it in your heart to support my move.

Thank you and God Bless!
Rochelle
