Thank you all for getting Roberta this far. She is currently free of clots and heading into surgery tomorrow June 5th! We have updated the goal due to complications in getting her this far. And she will be on complete bed rest and unlikely to be able to work through the summer. Let’s help her get past this last hurdle to healing!!!

Our fierce and brilliant friend Roberta is dealing with some major health issues that will require surgery and significant recovery time. We came awfully close to losing her and it will be crucial for her recovery and her survival that she stay off her feet and fully resting for a minimum of 8 weeks after she goes through her procedures. Let's support her so she can stay in her home, OFF her feet, and ALIVE!

"Sometimes in life, you do all the right things; go to school, get a job, pay your taxes, blah blah blah, and shit still hits the fan.
Roberta, has done all those things. Has amassed an amazing life for herself both professionally and personally because she has always given herself 100%. I’ve never met a person that cared for others more, and has been affected by those in need and in pain.
Every time, and I mean EVERY time someone was in need or in danger, she jumped up, and dove in without a second thought, whether it’s assisting with a breathing tube until paramedics arrive, involving strangers in helping a young woman in distress when she was bullied outside a grocery store, finding and rescuing stranded animals (5 and counting), or laying in the pouring rain with a mans head in her lap alongside a busy road after he’d been knocked off his motercycle - - Roberta is the friend you want in your tribe. She is the woman who is always caring for you.
Now, we need to step up and help her.
If you know Roberta, you know she never asks for help. Those closest to her have been trying to break this habit for years and now we need to involve you, her friends to help us - help her.
Roberta has had some serious medical issues come down on her recently, that have been scary, life-threatening even, and is unable to fully rest and recover because of the constant need to feed uncle sam and pay rent.. (you get it).
So, this GoFund Me page has been created to give Roberta a little helping hand for awhile. A little cushion, to make her stop fretting about tomorrow and tomorrow and do the two things she needs to do.
