Memorial Marching Tigers Trailer

Donation protected
We are the Reitz Memorial Tiger Band!  We needed a new trailer this year to transport due to safety and mechanical issues with our current truck.   We had help from two local small-businesses to help us secure a trailer, but we need YOUR help to fully fund it.

Our band consists of students in our high school, and 7th & 8th graders from our feeder schools.   Since funding for the fine arts has declined from most government entities, we are seeking new ways to raise the necessary funds for this very important art, MUSIC.  We feel strongly that music is an important part of learning and living, and we strive to live our lives and play our music with our Christian values evident on and off the field.

Another music parent summarized it very well in her blog, "18 Lessons Marching Band Teaches Our Kids: A Parent’s Perspective"  when she stressed all the benefits of Marching Band (http://www.amparents.org/a-parents-perspective-18-lessons-marching-band-teaches-our-kids/).  If you have ever been in or are a parent of a marching band student, you know these to be true!

Our band kids exemplify the very attributes every parent wishes for their children:  courtesy, respect, dicipline, inclusion, faith, flexibility, and generosity, among others.   They play at our football games, send off any state-bound athletic team, march in our homecoming parade, march in local "walks" to help raise awareness, play at pep assemblies and during the basketball games.

Please help us raise the money necessary to fully fund this trailer (balance of $4,000) If we exceed that initial  goal, the remaining funds collected will go toward the purchase of a new Vibraphone, as the one we are using is being loaned to us from another school. (Estimated cost $5,000).  If we exceed that goal, we will  put the Monet toward a new stand for our Drum Majors. Our is only a platform, and we want one with side rails for safety.  Any additional funds will be applied toward the maintenance and/or purchase of instruments for our band.

We thank you for your donation!  Any amount helps us achieve our goals.

If any donors would like a tax-deduction letter, please let us know.  Our school can provide one.  (Donate before the end of this tax year to maximize your contribution!)

Our school is located in Evansville, Indiana, and we march in ISSMA Class C division, and participate in Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard competitions. Reitz Memorial High School is a faith-based high school. School Website:  http://www.reitzmemorial.org/
