Wow! Big weekend for our "Little" League! What an exciting month of RC baseball! From almost 3 weeks of practices & a few team building events to 10 days of tournament play that included going undefeated (5-0) in their respective divisions, 2 of our 3 ALL STAR teams are headed to the NV STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in LAS VEGAS! Our 27 players stayed focused, worked hard and displayed exemplary character and sportsmanship both on and off the field. They showed respect to opponents and cheered on their teammates.
With any type of "team travel" comes a lot of planning and travel costs. We need to get 27 players to Vegas for a 4-day double- elimination tournament and we are encouraging our players to reach out to friends/family, local businesses, teachers and even former coaches for support. Every dollar helps as we are trying to cut costs for each player's family. The League will supplement some of the cost per player as well.
The STATE TOURNAMENT is July 19-23rd so we don't have much time. We are grateful to our families, friends, incredible Reno community and local sponsors that have given their support to our league and players each and every season. We may be the smallest league in town, but we definitely have the most HEART!
