Volunteering in South Africa

Donation protected
Hey! So i have set up this page to help raise money for a charity close to my heart African Impact. I will be leaving on Sunday to go volunteer for a month in Cape Town and help those who are in need.

I volunteered with African Impact in Kwala-Zulu Natal (Zululand) a year and half ago and managed to raise £1000 for their charity and would love the opportunity to do it again! The £1000 funded five teachers to do a years teaching course in order to gain more qualifications and  make a difference for the children in their class to have better brighter futures, it also paid for food parcels to feed a few families for 8 weeks, medicine and mattresses for those who are critically ill but improvise with materials they have around them to make what you can hardly call a bed. It's amazing how much the amount of money helped the community and I would love if you could help raise some money in order to do that again!

I will be volunteering in Creche/ Nursery's and teaching basic English & Math's along with giving them love and attention! I will also be visiting frequently emergency foster care homes where most of the children have been badly abused which will be very hard to see but I want to do what I can to put a smile on their faces and bring positivity to their unfortunate circumstances.

I will be doing Facebook post updates with what I have been doing on project and I will let you know where the money will be going.

If anyone is thinking about volunteering in Africa, I would 100% recommend it, not only are you helping people but you are giving them a chance for a brighter future.

South Africa’s education system is ranked as one of the worst in the world. In the township communities surrounding the city, a lack of basic amenities, infrastructure and learning resources mean many children are left behind. To make the matter worse, most children come from families affected by severe poverty, who have little to no education themselves.

I am very grateful to be given this opportunity to go and would be even more so grateful to be able to donate the amount raised at the end of the project.

Thank you all so much.    :)  xXx
