Raising expenses for my transplant

I've been battling with chronic liver disease since 1995. I was 8 yrs old when it all started. I kept getting fevers and pains and the docotors couldn't explain why. After careful examination, I was told I had ciriois of the liver. I had a hard time in school because of my symtoms. I would get really exhausted fast and couldn't do most of the things children loved to do. My eyes would turn yellow and my peers would tease me. Some didn't want to play with me or even talk to me. I felt alone and afraid. My faith in God, my doctors' care and my family's support has carried me through this battle.
Since age 12 my liver has been steroid dependent and it's to the point that Im now battling with a blood disorder which I don't produce platelets. I've been listed on a transplant since about 1997. With God's blessings, my dear friend Vanasia, is a match to donate half of her liver. I am so thankful for her and the mercy God has given me.
Living with this disease has had lots of complications. I've been close to death and in and out of the hospital countless times. I travel back and forth from Albany to NYC for doctors treatments and physicals monthly. Yet I am still faithful and thankful that I am still alive. I've been very involved and kept myself educated on my disease. I want to inspire others that they can get through anything and to live life as healthy as possible.
I have two beautiful children Nahkeem and Demi that mean the world to me. They're smiles and laughter brightens my days. Seeing them grow older and creating great memories with them is also the reason I stay strong.
My transplant will happen at Mount Sanai hospital in New York, Ny. I'm looking to raise funds to help with daily necessities regular day to day living expenses so my family will be able to live with out additional stress. A lot of time will be spent away from working so every penny counts. I am grateful for whatever is donated. It will be greatly appreciated from me and my family.
