Quinn Sullivan's Surgery Fund

In 2015 surgeons discovered that diseased tissue (a product of severe endometriosis) had attached several of the organs in my abdominal cavity together. It took two surgeries to remove the involved organs (including a portion of my large intestine) while also removing as much diseased tissue as possible. 

Unfortunately I experienced complications as a result of surgery while I was healing. While I am in less pain than before my first surgery (hooray!) I am still having problems. Essentially this next surgery will involve repairing the areas in my abdominal cavity that did not heal properly as well as remove more of the diseased tissue that has spread since my last surgery.

I had this surgery scheduled for the end of 2017 but I had issues getting the funds together that I needed in order to pay my rent and bills for the 6 weeks I would be out of work healing and had to push the surgery back because I didn't know what else to do. Honestly it has been stressful knowing that the longer I go without surgery the worse this condition becomes, but my limited income has made me unable to save enough on my own to reschedule surgery at this point without the fear of losing my job and my home. I am closer than I was, but not there yet!

My goal is to schedule surgery for January 2019. I'm fundraising specifically for costs associated with recovery; paying my rent and bills while I am unable to work (6 weeks), as well as paying for food during that time. 

As a side note, you may be thinking, "Ah! Quinn! You are transgender, I expected your surgery needs to be associated with transitioning!" 

I wish! At this point my medical transition is on hold until I can get my health back under control which is another reason it is so important to me to get this surgery as soon as possible. It never feels good to have one's life on hold because of health problems but I am hoping with a little help I can get things back on track.
