Mackley dogs military move to S.Korea

Dear prospective donor,

My name is Christopher Mackley, and I am currently Active US Military and have been for 12 years.  I have a family which consists of my wife, Ashly Mackley and my four dogs which are considered children to us.  We just learned on 27 March 2013, that we will be stationed to South Korea for three (3) years.  I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my service to this country, but unfortunately to keep my family together during this overseas tour, it will be at my own expense.

As most know, the US Military will cover expenses to move myself, my wife and household belongings, however pets are not covered.  We do not consider our dogs as pets; we consider them family as our children.  To relocate our pets, the cost is estimated at $4,000 out of our pocket.  This cost estimate includes airfare, kenneling, food, and veterinarian care which are $1,000 per dog.

We are hoping for donations of any size to help us keep our family together.  All donations are tax-deductible.  Checks should be made payable to Christopher Mackley or Ashly Mackley. 

If you would prefer to make a tangible donation, we are in need of Natural Balance (L.I.D.) dry food and treats, pet beds for the kennels, Trifexis (40 to 60 lbs), Oatmeal dog shampoo, or water filtered dog bowls.

We appreciate any and all kinds of donations to help cover our personal expense to keep our family together during my service to our country.  Donations are needed by April 26, 2013 as I have only been given a short time period to report to South Korea.
