Donation protected
***UPDATE*** due to media attention to the mural &  its new location plus numerous requests from the community, we are opening this back up to donations.  We anticipate the cost of the mural, artist honorarium, donation incentive gifts (see below) to be $12k-15k and any extra funds received will be used to fund future public art and events organized by the Pullman Arts Foundation.  The Pullman Arts Foundation is a non-profit and will be managing the mural and all donations associated with this project.***

Jiemei Lin has created a colorful  mural as a sign of solidarity with the people of color in our community and all who visit and look upon it.  It will be a welcoming symbol of inclusivity, community and representation  and a reminder to be aware of the injustices of systemic racism that harms those  who have been historically oppressed.  It will be a symbol for healing, hope, and reform as we commit to antiracism by acknowledging and doing the work to commit to making Pullman a place where Black Lives Matter.

Wilow Falcon and Michael Porter, owners of Noshie’s and Glassphemy  in downtown Pullman, have generously donated a wall on their building on Kamiaken St that faces SE Paradise St.  In order to complete this mural we will need to raise funds to rent scaffolding, hire a painter to paint the primer coat on the wall, purchase paint for the mural, additional supplies, an honorarium for the artist and funds will be used to cover the wholesale cost of the donation gifts mentioned above..  The photo above is a mock up of what the mural will look like on the donated wall.
