Help for the Pullara Family

Donation protected

Our dear friend Kevin Pullara suffered a brain stem stroke on May 15th, 2016. Kevin is a loving husband to Kelly Pullara and father of two great kids, Gianna (13) and Matteo (11). Kevin suffered significant damage to the right side of his cerebellum. Despite this, he has few residual deficits. His vision is slowly improving, and he has some weakness on his right side. An angiogram showed that the right vertebral artery is damaged beyond repair. The left vertebral artery is doing all of the work supplying the back of the brain with blood. This artery on the left is also damaged. This means that he has no “fail safe” as the doctor said. The left artery has to heal and it has to be cared for like we have never cared for anything in our lives. They were told that this kind of situation is extremely rare. According to the doctors, a recent trauma (within a week to a week and a half) to the area had to have occurred. However, Kevin and kelly are both baffled as to what this could have been. We will probably never know what caused his stroke. However Kevin is very fortunate to be here because, if both vessels would have failed, there would be no blood supply to that part of the brain. It is truly a miracle that he is still here with us.

Kevin has a long road to recovery and mounting medical bills. This account was set up by a few of his friends to help the family with their bills until Kevin can recovery enough to return to work. Please support this loving family any way you can, as any contribution is greatly appreciated. Thank you and May God bless you!
