Providence
Tax deductible
This is the final phase of fundraising for Providence , an original dance-theater work premiering in Charlottesville at The Front Porch in April of 2018. Through dance, original poems, and Irish and early popular American music, Providence tells the story of my Great-Grandmother Nellie O'Gara's life after immigrating from Ireland. Providence features performances by Edwin Roa, Katherine Nies, J.J. Cromer, Vivien Fergusson, and me.
This project is fiscally sponsored by the Charlottesville-based Miki Liszt Dance Company, a 501(c)3, so all contributions are tax-deductible.
-Fully 85% of our budget is going to artists' stipends
-If we meet this fundraising goal, we will be able to offer free tickets to local students to our interactive family matinee on April 22.
This campaign will conclude on April 28, the night of our final performance. Please make a gift today to support local art, local artists, and the cultural life of Charlottesville!
