The Wedgefield MHP Community of Lake City, South Carolina, is asking for your help, support, and prayers. We received letters the last week of June 2017 stating that the land that we reside on has been bought and we have only 60 days to move. This is a force out of a whole community of families on what means? We understand that you own the property now, but 60 days....really? Some people may be able to move in 2 months (now 2 weeks), but not all.
We are not only a community, but a family. Some people have been in Wedgefield 30+ years. We have hardworking citizens, children of all ages, and elderly that makes up this family of families. We need to be preparing our children for back to school soon, but how when we have to be concern about relocating in 60 days.
We are fighting for more time than 60 days!!! We need your help to help Wedgefield! We have this account open to any and all supporters. We also have other ways you can donate....1) Go to South State Bank of LC...Acct name is "Project Wedgefield Movement" & or 2) Mail your check/money order to PO Box 416, Lake City, SC, 29560 made out to Project Wedgefield Movement.
There have been a few people that wanted us to elaborate more on how the donations will be distributed out to the residents. We have researched and found out of the residents who are on a fixed income, elderly, children in the home, disabled in some way, moving transportation, etc. FYI moving a single wide is $2,000+ and a doublewide is $3500+. We are looking at the most critical parts of each household. Your donation of either $1.00 to $100.00 or more will be used to help others. Your blessing from God will be a blessing to a community in a crisis. REMEMBER MOVING TAKES PREPARATION, FINANCES, AND TIME. If anyone can do it without just 1 of these in the equation please let me know.
