The Joshua House
is a non-profit Youth Organization organized January 1, 1997 for the purpose of encouraging spiritual growth and academic success thereby advocating and mentoring to impart self-worth to at- risk young people on the West side of Chicago.

To accomplish our goals we function as advocates and mentors to provide spiritual counseling, personal computer training, tutoring in Math, Science, and English, ACT Test reparation classes, continuing education programs, recreation, off-the street activities, group therapy, and mentoring programs as well as academic and recreational development. Our basic program is “Project Bridge” whereas we function as a bridge between home and school for young people age 3-25 on the west side of Chicago.

By establishing a firm spiritual background in the lives of the youth, The Joshua House will then be able to help develop the academic and professional framework necessary to succeed in any environment. The desire of the director and staff of The Joshua House is to give back to the children in the community by providing a bridge between home and school.

The staff and directors of The Joshua House have acquired knowledge and experience in Christian Education, human services, technical and networking, as well as in the educational field.  All staff member and support teams provide their services on a volunteer basis. All funding goes directly to promote the programs and provide educational materials and academic support to the children.

The mission and vision of The Joshua House outreach ministry is to reach out to every child in our area of influence and if one life is impacted (regardless of race, creed, or color) The Joshua House’s mission will not be in vain.

Throughout the year and every Christmas we give back to the community by feeding individuals who suffer from food insecurity and othr necessary resources. We provide warm coats; scarves, gloves, hoodies as well as care packages for personal hygene.

The Joshua House is a 501© (3) non-for-profit organization registered with Lisa Madigan the Illinois Attorney General Department of Charitable Trusts and all donations are tax deductible.
