Update as of 12/30/2020: My name is Francine Simpson and I have renamed this campaign ‘Give Precious Braziel and their family security’ and re-opened it with permission from Precious Braziel. As stated in the original statement, Precious has recently become the primary caretaker of their family. They have received all of the funds from the previous campaign, and with those funds were able purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately, there have been some unexpected expenses and circumstances, and as a result, they have decided to keep this campaign open for continuous support. Let us continue to assure that Precious and their family have all of the security that they need to be safe and happy. Thank you all for your continued generosity. Original statement: My name is Francine Simpson and i have started this GFM on behalf of Precious Braziel. They will receive every amount donated and have written a statement to share with you all: Hello community! My name is Precious Braziel and I need your help! I have had a tough time since my mother’s health took a turn for the worse and I have had to assume responsibility as primary caregiver to my siblings. Extra mouths to feed, clothes to buy, and other needs to provide for has not been easy. I have been making things work through accessing resources in the community, and I have recently found a job and started working to provide for myself and my siblings. I am currently relying on public transportation and ride sharing to get to and from work, which is not sustainable for getting to work on time, and also not sustainable financially. I really need a car! I have worked hard to find an affordable solution to this transportation challenge and have found a car that feels doable. I need support from the community to raise $1,100 to buy this car, get it registered and smog tested. This will help me be on time to my job, get home quickly after work to be there for my family, and access resources such as food and clothing easier. This deal is not going to last! I need to be able to purchase this car by Wednesday, Dec 16th or Friday, Dec 18th at the latest. I know this is short notice and I appreciate every donation, every share and every post.
