Prayers for Audry

Audry's mom joined our Plexus family on 8/20/13. She joined our team to remove some of the family's financial burden as her daughter has been very sick since birth.
Jeni is a stay at home full time mom. There are no day cares that will accept Audry since she is a "liability". Every month is different for the family financially - some months struggling by a $100 or so, others its MUCH more. When I talked to Jeni about her 'why' for joining the team her answer was this: "we manage little by little which is why I pray Plexus can give me the opportunity to change our situation. We have a lot of Audry's medical bills in collections right now".
As if the stress of a sick child and bills was not enough, the family was hit with a BOMB on 9/25/13 - they learned that Audry as an incurable genetic disorder called PMG (Polymicrogyria). This is a rare disease that can affect all functions of the body as well as increase the handicaps of cerebral palsy.
Audry's case is fully involved. Her life expectancy is only age 10.
Mom and the family are devastated to say the least.
Audry will be 2 on December 2nd. They had an MRI last week (Sept 18) to monitor the fluid on her brain and to also monitor the mass on her spinal cord they found a few months ago. When mom went back to the neurosurgeon yesterday she was informed that the fluid in her brain has increased and that he needs to monitor the mass on her spinal cord closely - the fluid in her brain has now affected the white matter of her brain which is a classic sign of MS as well as a diagnosis of Polymicrogyria.
Audrey's disease is fully involved throughout her entire brain affecting everything from motor skills, she's nonverbal, can't drink fluids without aspirating, has seizures that they can not detect or diagnosis. She just learned how to sit unassisted about 4 months ago and can finally put some weight on her legs before she collapses. She is also legally blind and has sensory issues that translate all sensations as pain.
This fund to is help the family with the financial burdens of medical expenses and to hopefully ensure they have enough money to travel when they get the call as Audry's case be taken on by John Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and they will need to get there from Nevada plus have help with the other expense involved with traveling.
This fund was started by Jeni's Plexus Family. We are asking that all of our fellows Sisters and Brothers in Plexus, and anyone who reads Audry's story will donate to the family and help our fellow Ambassador during her time of extreme need. The more we can give to help the family (especially with the holidays coming up) the more we can give them a few moments of joy in a time that is so unbearable.
