Prayers For Meagan Whitcomb

On August 13, our lives changed. Our youngest daughter, Meagan, had an MRI because she had a headache that wouldn't go away and it was starting to affect her vision. About 345pm, we got a call saying our baby had a brain tumor. The following day, we had an appointment with a neurosurgeon at University Hospital. He let us know that Meagan would be going in on Wednesday for brain surgery. On August 20, she went in for a 5 ½ hour brain surgery. When the surgery was over, her neurosurgeon let us know that he wasn't able to remove all of the tumor without causing permanent damage or her dying. After further testing, we found out her tumor is malignant, which means it can spread, and a very aggressive growing tumor. This is considered brain cancer. She started chemo on September 8, 2014 because without this treatment, she only has 3-6 months to live. She now has to do chemo for 3-5 days every 21 days, as long as her labs come back okay, for the next 4 months followed by 6 weeks of radiation. This tumor is curable with the treatment she will be doing over the next 6 months. She has been having a hard time dealing with this and is very scared. The part she is having the hardest time with is losing her hair. Some dear friends, Stephanie, Peyton,  Ed, and Colton bought some bracelets to support Meagan during this time. They thought that a donation for each bracelet could help purchase hats, scarves, and/or a wig(s) for Meagan when she loses her hair. The pink is for Meagan's favorite color and the grey is for brain cancer awareness. Please keep Meagan in your prayers! And a huge thank you to Stephanie, Peyton, Ed, and Colton for loving Meagan so much! Meagan is such a blessing and she has so much more to show the world!
