Power & Beauty

Moved by the power and the beauty of "Dr. Rain" Warren , I am enrolled and compelled to support her mission in making a difference in the world.  Therefore I'm calling on her community and mine to please contribute generously to cover airfare, room, board and registration fees to attend the 2018 Global Conference for Transformation. 

With her unique experience and formal education,  Rain powerfully conveys what is possible in a world that works for everyone.  Providing the opportunity for Rain to attend the conference will amplify to the world what her community and myself already see possible.

War doesn“t have to be a part of our reality in any form. Genocide does not have to happen, again and again, ever. We can get in front of the crisis around global warming, now. We have enough knowledgeable , skills, and ability to solve all of these problems and more. There is enough. We are enough. We can create a world that works for everyone with no one left out.

How?
The solutions are embedded in the stories of those who have been to hell and back. The solutions are with the individuals and communities who have lived through the worst of what it is to be human and come out on the other side to be leaders transforming their communities and the world.They have lived though the wars, the genocides, the natural disasters and have a vision for what the world could look like, yet they may not be seen or highlighted on the evening news. 

I have listened to these stories and am committed to escalating the lessons and solutions that are embedded in them. Every crisis that we faced, points to some place that we haven't listened.

My intention is to use the Global Conference on Transformation as a launching pad to tell these stories and provide space for others to also tell their stories, and be listened to. Every human being carries within them a gold mine of possibilities and creative solutions to the concerns they face individually and collectively. My inquiry lives in the question: What would be possible if we created a world that listens?

About Dr. Lorraine Warren aka Dr. Rain

Dr. Rain's career as a facilitator, educator, and trainer in peace-building, dialogue, and conflict mediation has spanned over 20 years and has taken her to over 100 countries around the world, which include the continents of Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.  She was recognized in 2016 by Legacy International and the Global Youth Village for having provided direct impact and training to over 34, 000 youth world-wide. Dr. Rain has 10 years experience as an administered in higher education and has provided leadership at institutions such as Washington University in St. Louis, Florida State University, The Johns Hopkins University, and The Juilliard School. Dr. Rain completed her doctoral degree in 2017 and conducted research in Rwanda, Central Africa interviewing survivors of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. 

Dr. Warren is an inspirational speaker and is currently working on several book projects including a memoir inspired by her life and work in Rwanda. She obtained her doctorate from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, CA  in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsychology. She also holds Master's degrees in Higher Education Administration and Spiritual Psychology from Indiana University in PA and the University of Santa Monica in California. She is seeking a benevolent benefactor so that she can write and focus on the caretaking of her 85 year old mother and writing.
